Dr. Zorayda Lee-Llacer, M.D. (Dr. Z)
Zorayda Lee-Llacer, M.D. (Dr. Z), has over 50 years of experience in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Dr. Z has held roles in various medical institutions, such as Director of Respiratory Intensive Care at Georgetown Medical Center and Chief of ICU at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland. She founded her practice, Lee-Llacer and Lee-Llacer, M.D. PA, alongside her husband in the 1970's. In 2018, the practice expanded services to include a home visit primary care practice dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring ventilator support, tracheostomies, PEG tubes, and management of conditions like COPD, cardiac respiratory failure, advanced Parkinson's disease, and dementia. Her vision was to ensure continuity of care for patients who may have difficulty accessing traditional healthcare settings. The practice is now called PostAcuteCareMD and continues to reflect Dr. Z's commitment to delivering compassionate, personalized care to patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality medical attention in the comfort of their own homes.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Z is a passionate advocate for cultural representation in healthcare. She is featured in the documentary Faith Healers, which highlights the contributions of Filipino doctors in the United States and their impact on American healthcare.
